bookmarklet
Edit any page
Makes the text on any web page editable, so you can fix or change it before printing or taking a screenshot. Nothing changes on the real site.
Drag this button up to your bookmarks bar. That's the whole install.
Don't see a bookmarks bar? Press Ctrl+Shift+B (on a Mac ⌘+Shift+B).
Don't click it here; it only works on the page it's made for. Drag it to your bookmarks bar instead.
Can't drag? , then add a new bookmark and paste it as the bookmark's address (URL).
Install on a phone
First tap Copy the bookmarklet above. Then:
Android (Chrome)
- Tap ⋮ and then ☆ to bookmark any page.
- Tap Edit, change the name to Edit any page, and replace the address with the copied text.
- To use it, go to the page, tap the address bar, type Edit any page, and tap the bookmark in the suggestions.
iPhone (Safari)
- Tap the share button and choose Add Bookmark, then save.
- Open Bookmarks, tap Edit, tap the new bookmark, and replace the address with the copied text.
- To use it, go to the page, open Bookmarks, and tap it.
How to use it
Click the bookmark on any page, then click anywhere in the text and type. Reload the page to go back to normal.
The changes are only on your screen. Nobody else sees them, and the site itself isn’t changed.
